As you can see here, the lower PP scoring under Therrien was definitely due to physical decline.

Yeah, the Sens Twitter posted a picture of him and someone else testing them at practice.

They asked him about it and he said something like “Yeah, it’s just something I decided I should do”. Makes sense, since he has two young kids now.
