How/when you became a Devils fan: Parents had SportsChannel when I was really young, and dad, being a sports fan in general (he "leaned" NYR because Gretzky, now the Devils are second only to his beloved Yankees), would watch any of the three area hockey teams on TV. I was always enamored that it said "NJ" in the upper corner of the screen and that we had a NY/NJ area pro team that explicitly belonged to this side of the Hudson (I liked the Nets, too), so I started watching on my own. Went to my first game in December, 2001, remember watching the entire Cup run on TV in 2003 and began watching consistently on TV thereafter. Started going to games a lot when I was 13 going on 14 (first year at the Rock). The rest is history.

How/when you became a Devils fan: I think it was right after the first cup, I was a huge Nets fan, especially Kerry Kittles, but the NBA had a lockout. So FSN carried both teams and I just started watching. The team was fun to watch and Doc Emerick was amazing to listen to and I learned the sport and team quickly because of him. When the NBA lockout ended I was already converted to a hockey fan and haven't looked back.

How/when you became a Devils fan: Honestly, hard to pin an exact moment. All I remember growing up is that I always wanted to be a goalie, and I LOVED watching Brodeur play whenever possible. I think it may have been the 2000/2001 cup finals, something about the team, the logo, the players, it all stuck with me. I never really liked watching the Leafs play, so when I finally starting watching games on my own I turned to the Devils. Never looked back since, and have zero regrets.
