So much for watching Lewandowski tonight -- he goes super high and hits Tommy Novak in the head, and gets a major.

I wonder at this Gates-McManus wing tandem for Mittelstadt. Granted, it gets Pitlick with Sheehy and Novak, but UM just has such a hard time creating anything.

Game Recap - Hockey’s Comeback Falls Short at Bentley - Saturday, January 27 - Canisius College Website

Canisius returns to home to host Holy Cross for a two-game league series Feburary 2-3 at KeyBank Rink at HarborCenter.
Friday's game will have a 7:35 pm ET face-off while Saturdays game will have a 4:35 pm ET face-off.

LaxSabre - Saturdays game will be the second game of a triple-header of hockey at the HarborCenter/KeyBank Center complex. The Buffalo Beauts host the Metro Riveters at 1:00 pm ET at the HarborCenter while the Buffalo Sabres host the St. Louis Blues at the KeyBank Center at 7:00 pm ET.

Anyone plan on attending all three games? Or perhaps a Beauts/Griffs or Beauts/Sabres or Griffs/Sabres double-header?
Unfortunately my soccer coaching gig - we play at 3:30 pm ET - eliminates me from attending either the Beauts game or the Griffs game. I do plan on attending one hockey game in downtown Buffalo that day as I have tickets to the Sabres game.

After the American Hockey League’s All-Star Challenge wrapped up, college hockey was part of a fairly unique sweep. The most valuable player of the AHL’s All-Star Challenge was C.J. Smith, who played three years at UMass-Lowell.

With that honor bestowed upon the former Hockey East standout, each of the all-star games for the top three professional leagues in North America had a former college hockey player selected as its MVP. It’s a bit of an odd stat, made particularly more impressive by the fact that all three players selected by their respective leagues were not just college hockey alumni, but were playing in the NCAA ranks last season.
