Please win so the Hall fanboys can shut up already. Thanks

Actually, I really like the Devils. Fun team to watch and I plan on heading out to The Rock to watch a few Devils games this year but just lose tonight, would ya? Thanks

Hope the Oilers win but don't think they will.

oilers are visually better but fail to get it done. 4-2 Devils. (and I hope Hall calls the Oilers a Mickey Mouse organization to bring things full circle.)

I've finally snapped and for the first time ever, I'm betting against the Oilers in vbookie/Sportsbook

I can't wait until the Oilers put that valuable new player Cap Space on the power play. Expecting big things out of Cap Space.

Seriously though I don't know what Chia is doing other than his impression of Nero...fiddling while Rome burns. Get off your ass, trade anyone or more off the bottom two lines and get some goddamn help in here. Sheesh it is not that hard.

Over Schneider's last five starts, he's had three games with sub .900 save percentages (two of those were .833 and .821) against T-Bay, Washington and Ottawa.

The last two games were against Arizona and Vancouver, so here's to this is the game the Oilers offense comes to life in a big way. They really need to finish the game on the plus side of things in the "powerplay goals for : penalty kill goals against" ratio to win...hell, the way things have gone lately on both sides of special teams, I'd even settle for an equal.

I said this last game too. The other team has a great pp and good pk. We have bad both. If our special teams come out ahead or even we can win. If not we don't stand a chance. The way it is Jersey gets 1-2 auto goals from the PP against us. We need to completely shut them down 5v5 to stand a chance.

There certainly are a lot of non-Oiler fans who post in this forum. Holy crap. And I'm not talking about the people who are worried about this start, or being negative about certain aspects of our game. If you can't stand the Oilers, why are you even wasting your time posting about them? Seems like a kind of insanity. Insanity is described as repeating the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. It's like some people keep posting the same bullshit over and over again, as if something is going to change by them mentioning it in every thread they can feasibly post it in. Just stop. Anyone who was under the impression that it was going to be easy sailing because last year we surprised the entire league are unfortunately under the delusion that since we suffered for so long that we are finally in the clear. There is struggles still ahead of this team. But good teams find a way to put it behind them, and move on eventually. If this year is unsuccessful in this regard, guess what? There's still next year and the ones after that. Thinking we need to blow the team up again is the completely incorrect way to go about it. They need stability to be able to improve.

I remember when I thought more penalties being called this year would be advantageous to our team.
Silly of me. So very silly.
there are more of SOME penalties being called; it is still so very inconsistent. but yeah, pp should be a boon to our team, not our bane

More likely he gets "mixed up" with Kassian.

I think Yamamoto gets his first tonight (assuming he dresses)

Resulting in them keeping him up past the 9 games, only for him to slump again and get sent down anyways after burning a year off his ELC and giving him UFA early. Then he lights it up in year 2 or 3 making us pay him a year too early ala Draisaitl. Yay!!

were you in oiler management from 2008 to 2016? geeze.

the debate is still on as to the oilers being a good team, or a bad team that had a lucky year propped up by McDavid and Talbot.

your statement "If this year is unsuccessful in this regard, guess what? There's still next year and the ones after that" sounds just like the head in the sand, we'll be good eventually, type of thinking that made the oilers the worst team in the league for many years, and in the conversation for the worst 5 year span in league history.

you're making me feel like Mrs. Lincoln in that old joke.
. to paraphrase-
"Other than how the Oilers played, how did you like the game?"
