Watched that at a bar in midtown with pops in town. The game started friendly, lightly shit talking with a table full of Carolina fans directly next to pops and I. As my jumping and screaming got louder, their table grew sadder and more silent. After the 4th or 5th goal, when I turned around from more jumping and screaming, hugging all the Ranger fans around the bar - the table full of Carolina fans were gone.

One of the greatest hockey nights of my life. A straight up beatdown. And I expect the new version of this team to do even better.

Also, I've mentioned this before, Boston is giving me the same vibes I had from Carolina last year. They're the only team that troubles me and this team proved me wrong last year in that very game 7 we played. I am one excited Guinea ATM.

big step up in weight class...wanna see how this lineup matches up with car. tarasenko said the biggest adjustment to the east was how much faster the pace was - and i think the fact that sammy blais is scoring goals in the west pretty much confirms that. wonder how he feels playing these guys with how high pressure they are. im not sure if kane loves or hates playing car style of play...its definitely annoying for him. he either picks it apart or it drives him insane. they're like frenetic...no one likes playing those teams.

Don't care what the standings look like, we are a better team top to bottom than Carolina. I am and will continue to be unfazed by them, regardless of the outcome of tonight's game (which they need to win more than we do btw).

10-2 last 12 at the Garden. (Winnipeg and Ottawa of all teams) Winning tonight, caps a PERFECT homeSTAND. Where "stand" is the operative word. They're taking a stand on any team coming into their house, and slowly beating them before they're even thinking about taking the ice.

Like Hank said......"You want them to be scared", you want them to KNOW it's coming with the excellent starts that they've had lately.
Scoring their 16th consecutive goal tonight, is especially huge against this team, very similar to the Islanders in that regard.

5-1 Rangers, sounds about right. I know, I know I am pushing the issue here. But, so are they. Send them a severe message, send them reeling, make them FEEL LIKE they will be overtaken at the top. The Devils are an afterthought. They'll fold.

Carolina goes in rigid straight lines. As long as we take care of our net front, prevent rebound chances, and take the puck and go on transition, we will win.

WPG was 1st game back from road trip and Ottawa was a complete collapse in the 3rd.

Either way, we've been better at home and the energy/vibe in the Garden has been better as well.

In the world of hockey, there was a hero A young man with a passion that ran as deep as the marrow His name was Ryan Lindgren, and he had a heart of gold And with his skills on the ice, his story had yet to be told

He skated with the grace of a bird in the sky His speed and agility, a marvel to the eye With each game he played, he left his mark A hero in the making, who shone like a spark

But fate would soon deal a terrible blow A grave injury that threatened to bring him low Lindgren was hurt, his future uncertain But he refused to give up, to let his dreams be curtain

With the strength of a lion and the heart of a champion He fought through pain and setbacks, and never lost his momentum He worked and trained, and refused to give in And slowly but surely, his spirit began to win

And then the day came when he returned to the ice A superhero reborn, his will a force to suffice He played with heart and soul, and left all in awe A true inspiration, who had overcome it all

So here's to Ryan Lindgren, a hero in our eyes A shining example of what it means to rise Against all odds, he proved that dreams can come true A superhuman, who inspires us to pursue.
