Has there ever been a coach so deluded or less accountable than Quinn. Here are some of his gems tonight:

“Our record. Deadline. All of a sudden, you're in a situation like we are, and this is the ultimate team sport, and all of a sudden you don't play the ultimate team game.”

Yes David, it’s all of a sudden they’re not playing “the ultimate team game”. This isn’t even close to the worst loss in the season.

“we just gave them the puck over and over and over. You don't need to talk about anything else. If you just keep making plays and you don't care about the consequences, you're gonna get a 7-2 loss.”

"We did it over and over and over. Our puck play is just....bad."

Imagine complaining about the players doing the same thing over and over as if Quinn hasn’t persisted with maintaining the same flawed systems all season when they clearly weren’t working.

If I’m Celebrini, I’m hoping to go anywhere but the Sharks if they persist with Quinn.

Look, I get the frustration with the team but I have a hard time blaming Quinn. Have you seen this roster? The best system in the world would’ve maybe meant us losing 5-2. I mean, we’re missing our top 2 centers. Granlund is our 1C, a rookie who hasn’t played center in years is our 2C, and our defense is like a #4 and a bunch of #5-6 guys.

On the other hand, the Devils are having a bad year but they’re better than us everywhere.

They were always going to be a bad team but injuries have decimated them entirely. I can’t blame Quinn for any of it, really.

I blame Quinn for constantly tying Kunin to Eklund all season aside from a few weeks. It clearly doesn’t work but he refuses to change it.

The roster is bad, but it’s not Chicago bad.

I wouldn't worry about that. Quinn's contract expires after the 2024-2025 season...I highly doubt we see him after that.

To me the Thrun "pass" to Jack Hughes was what started what turned out to be a landslide.

Hard to put that on coaching.

Devils are the kind of team that can thrive when they get ahead but lose confidence when they don't.

Up to that point the more physical game of the Sharks was having an effect.
