Yup, that's what I expect as well. Sleep walking with no intensity for most of the first 2 periods and then coming out like gangbusters in the 3rd with all kinds of desperation. The problem is that if the other team gets decent goaltending, we tend to gag on our chances and then blow it in our own end. If we continue to play like we have the last couple games, I doubt we win. As much as I hate the Flamers, they have been playing decently lately, and would probably like nothing better than to extend our misery, and help drag us back into the wild card race.

We own Markstrom and they want to preserve his trade value 2 weeks prior to TDL. Everytime the Oilers light him up he sucks for 2 weeks afterwards.

The Vladar should get lit up. But the OIlers are playing like shit. This year has been insane. I feel depending on where on the curve they find themselves in the playoffs, they either get bounced in the first round or go all the way.

Yup. As fans we have to hope they click when it matters. realistically, no matter how good or bad they play the goaltending above all else has to be good or there is zero chance.

I can see the Oilers not doing that though. especially in this matchup.

For the Flames its their everytime SC. for the Oilers this game is just another game against a team that isn't that good.

i don't know we see much different than we do if the teams playing the lowly Yotes.

I probably just record this one and decide how much time I want to spend on it. Or drink..

Compound with the Oilers often have the puck and our goalies have the benefit of us controlling games and the goalies not having to see a lot of work. Vladar would probably cope behind our play. Its untenable being a goalie behind the Flames.
