How does that explain the roaring hot start we got off to tonight? Sorry, Vegas Flu isn't cutting it...this team has a huge problem finishing & folds up like a cheap tent at the first sign of adversity. Would also be nice if the goalie could stop playing like an AHLer.

course it does...had great vibes in the room and the adrenaline pumping off the drop...then reality of not having any gas in the tank hits you like a freight train.

i mean has thompson even broken a sweat? they haven't had a real scoring chance since the first 5 mins.

sucks advertisers would never allow a team to just call it a night, there is absolutely no point in sending this team on the ice for another period.

Down 4-0 and Zibanejad tries a behind the back pass
He's been absolute trash tonight and much of the season, but don't worry.

Sacred cow PP1 must remain untouched as is for all time.

Igor and much of the D have been awful tonight.

This is part of the reason I want Tarasenko back - how many of our shooters can beat an NHL goalie clean, without a screen, deflection, rebound, or a setup pass? Seriously, how many forwards can carry in, cut to the middle, and rip a wrister past an NHL goalie?

One - Mika - and he refuses to take wrist shots off the rush. Our even strength offense is highly dependent on either royal road passes, deflections, rebounds, or scoring off 2nd chances from broken plays, and that doesn't work in the playoffs long term - even though a lot of goals are scored that way - because you're relying on defensive mistakes and puck luck, which makes randomness likely to eat you alive in a short series.

This team is not winning the Cup unless it adds another scoring winger, fixes the 3C spot or gets Chytil back and he actually stays healthy, stops playing Trouba 25 minutes a night and puts Miller with Fox or acquires an LD, fixes the bottom 6 in such a way that Bonino and Goodrow are not getting any kind of significant minutes, and either gets Igor right, or decides to ride Quick down the stretch and figures out a way to keep his conditioning where it needs to be for him to see all those minutes.

In case anyone left here doesn’t have the MSG feed, Valliquette just said that when the Rangers get down by 2 goals that Igor Shesterkin has the worst save pct. In the league this season.
Yep. Once someone tells Jimmy D. good luck Stevie. John G hates him so he'll be happy.

Yeah, we're pretty much stuck with him. Honestly had hopes that he would fetch us a great haul.

I think him and the Rangers just part ways when his contract is up.

Now we know why every loss is a blowout. Vally just said Igor has the worst save percentage down by 2 goals

and the best in the league up a goal in the 3rd. never seen a team win a game where they didn't put a single puck in the net. usually requires even more than that but the offensive output is putrid outside panarin/troch/laf.
