First game of 2017 vs:
-#1 ranked team in the NHL
-Franchise record 15 wins in a row (NHL record @ 17 wins)
-#1 ranked in Goals Against / game
-#3 ranked in Goals For / game
-#1 ranked Goalie in total wins, #3 ranked in save %
-#1 ranked Powerplay in the NHL
-5 players in the top 50 in points

Since the xmas break, I was secretly hoping that Columbus (12-0-0) would win every game (3 games) until they played the Oilers. They pulled it off, got the 15 win streak, now it's prime opportunity for the Oilers to gain more respect off this game and put a stop to the historic streak.
If any team can stop the streak, it's McDavid and co.

Can't wait, it's going to be a hell of a game

Also was hoping that we'd get a chance to be the streak stopper.

Stay out of the box and capitalize on the chances we get... gonna need a hell of a game from Talbot too.

I have a good feeling about this one. Would be nice to cheer for the team that broke the streak, but I want it to extend as long as possible.

If Brock Lesnar could end the Undertaker's streak, the Oilers can end the Bluejackets

I say we win. But you have to get on top of Bobrovsky early or you aint getting him at all.

I was hoping we'd get a chance to break this streak, too. I'm excited for this game and hope we can put up a good fight. This is a very good team and snapping that streak could be a big turning point for us this season. A huge confidence boost.

Gagner 8 pts

be more fun if Eberle got 8 points. lol

hoping the team rises up to the challenge.
good of a chance to break the streak as anyone does.

I usually prefer the oilers to win over an hoping for an individual player to get points, but would love for Mcdavid to get a couple of goals.

I'm cheering for the Oilers of course but a part of me wants to see the streak extend and witness history

we already helped them keep their streak going. They won their "Unsustainabowl" the other day. That's enough lol

Bobrovsky stands on his head again and Gagner gets 3 more accidental looking points.

You can bet the NHL wants to see this streak extended too. Refs will be looking for gifts. Oi, who put this shiny hat on my head?

Please please please end the streak, it would feel so good and do wonders for the team. Might even get one of our own streaks going that could hopefully hit 5 games before another OT/SO loss.

The Oilers will probably get dismantled.

I'd be satisfied with a loser point.

Hope we can end that streak. Will certainly be tough. Last game against the Blue Jackets was a disappointing effort. Hopefully tomorrow they come out with some fire.

Ebs vs Gagner

The whipping boy showdown!!

The ultimate fight to see who is HFOil's true whipping boy leader.

It's gonna be an HFOil extravaganza

Get pucks on net...crash the net....good goaltenders have killed us in about half the regulation losses.

The least we ask for is 1 point. Squeeze that point out of the Blue Jackets any way possible.

LMAO!!! now that is ----ing hilarious!!!

as for the game, IDK. odds have to catch up to the Bluejackets sometime, but the Oil have a rep as 'the streak breakers' for the exact opposite situation.
