Maintenance day for Strome and Gudas? I remember Gudas not looking right near the end of the last game, but have forgotten what happened. As for Strome, no idea.

Glad to have LaCombe's versatility available to play RD. I remember last year we tried several LD's to play RD and they all sucked. It's not their fault b/c they've probably played LD all or most of their career. Vaak was one of those LD we tried at RD last year and this year. Happy Vaak will stick to the left side, but also seeing him finally healthy and playing well.

We're actually fortunate to have three LD's who have been playing RD for a few years at juniors or the NCAA. LaCombe spent four years at RD in the NCAA. Zell played RD in his junior career and won WHL d-man of the year twice as well as CHL d-man of the year playing the right side. Also in juniors, Hinds also played RD for his QMJHL career. Hinds has recently been deployed at RD in the AHL with the Gulls.

Ohhh... welp, tonight is not that night. Gudas has a maintenance day off today, giving him an extra two days off plus the Christmas break to rest and recover. He's earned it.
