I could've had a friend's ticket for this game but I literally didn't feel like making a 5 hour trip each way via 4 different train lines to see this team. I really hate this current team more than any others since I became a fan on April 14th, 1997. The horrible tank team at least tried (in fact they tried so hard they nearly avoided the league basement), this team just fills me with rage and disgust.

I remember the exact date because on April 13th, 1997 my beloved Whalers played their final game and I decided to become a Sabres fan (in part because of Nolan. Of course he was basically sacked weeks later but I stuck with the team). I probably would've ended up an Islanders fan but at the last ever Whalers road game at the Coliseum their fans mocked and taunted the Whalers fans who were there. I hated them for many years after and it wasn't until Tavares that I really forgave them.
