Kane was between tarasenko and the net. It only makes sense that he would attempt to hinder tank from having a breakaway.

It's pretty standard procedure for the man hanging back to pick up the guy moving in while the blue line guy releases after zone entry. There probably could have been better communication on the play, but Kane should also know.

It's not coasting. It's keeping the guy to the outside so your support can pick them up. Then you switch to their guy or area. It's basic shit Kane f***s up constantly.
