We needed our PP to hit tonight and we had 4v4 situation too. Couldn't rattle the backup QB at all. Started the 3rd period very slowly instead of being on fire. Got energy with about 8 minutes left in the game, but that wasn't enough.

Loss wasn’t undeserved, just a kick in the balls that the gwg came from a play that should have been blown dead. Also Gibby put on a great show for nothing. And PIT had to send in a back up. Ugh. So much ugh.

If flyers lose to sharks. You can bet they will be hard and physical af v us Friday. No chance carlsson plays friday( just as well he isn’t ready for those types of physical games) I want to see zegras in the middle with killorn on his wing.

Eh. The puck was kicked back out. Still, it was only one goal and the Ducks needed to overcome that mistake. We didn't bring enough despite Gibby keeping us in the game.

Since Cronin is big on chemistry, that 3rd line of Killorn-Rico-Silf has instant chemistry. Jones maybe up on the first line instead of Killorn.

Jones might be waived if mcginn is ready. But v flyers a physical team, we might need him to bang around

Think we need to see a shuffling of the lines. Zegs/Carlsson/Terry isn’t working. Have they ever actually connected on a goal? Certainly not more than once or twice

They need a center on the top line who can win a faceoff. They’re a combined 5/39 the last 3 games.

Could move Rico to 1LW and he can take the faceoffs for Carlsson like Rico did for Zegras last year. Then Z would be centering Killorn and Silf. That would be a weird dynamic. I think Groulx would fit well between Killorn and Silf because they all play a similar game. Also, Groulx's a better FO guy.

If Carlsson isn't in the lineup and we need a FO specialist, but not disrupt the 3rd line, then maybe have Groulx as that 1LW, but he's the primary faceoff guy. Or... Rico moves up to 1LW and Groulx centers the 3rd line.

It's nice having options, but I think someone is pushing the Z-Carlsson-Terry line. Just don't know if it's our head coach or our GM.

I'm leaning towards gm

It doesn't work because none of them are big or physical enough to win the 1 on 1 battles against bigger and tougher players. They need some sandpaper it's too easy to defend them

We're waiting on Carlsson to get bigger, but we don't know how long that will be. Mac is in his D+3 season and is much stronger now than his previous two seasons in the NHL. That strength is also probably a factor as to why he's winning more faceoffs.

They may well just want to force feed him the NHL. It’s a developmental year, in spite of the early success.

Also doesn’t help Carlsson has been at wing in the SHL, so he hasn’t been taking many draws the past few years. I think they are just giving him a chance to learn it on the job
