The snow has melted up here, and i'm ready for some hockey later tonight! Not happy that Ward is still taking a spot on the roster, and I fully expect to see him up on the top 2 lines by the end of the game.

4-2 Sharks. Just ******* win!

Ugh. I really do not like the Dillon - DeMelo pairing. But that's the only thing I don't like about the lineup, so I guess I won't complain.

Do not like that pairing either. I just have a feeling that they are going to give Heed a real chance this year to earn that #6D spot over DeMelo. They are just starting with the DeMelo because he is a known quantity.

Also, the only good thing about injuries on D this year would be that Ryan may get a real chance to show what he can do as well.

Don't know where to ask this but...

Do we have any new coaching changes this year on the Sharks?
Particularly are we gonna get Spotter Specials anymore?

SNOG:
Shorks 3-1
Pavelski, Meier, Vlasic

Sharks have a 7 game season opener win streak going. One has to go back to the 2009-10 season for an season opener loss. I think it was against the Avs, maybe?

Don't know if this is the current longest running streak for season openers right now, but I going to go with the Sharks to extend, 3-0 win with a Jones SO.

Also, I would expect DeMelo to start over Heed unless he's scratched other than a healthy one.
