officials have been strict on players running soft interference on forecheckers.

blueline is weak, and STL probably still has a good forecheck. could be a significant problem.

I'm glad they're doing that. Perhaps I'm wrong, but I remember soft interference like that hurt the Wings way more than it did help them. It really made the game unwatchable IMO.

definitely was more positive for DRW than negative, imo

DRW usually carried the puck into the offensive zone, instead of chasing; and did not have a fast blueline. that extra time from interference was very useful for controlled breakouts instead of just chipping the puck out.
