The real issue is that quality players who fill good roles like Dewer get sacrificed because of shit contracts like Foligno

After worrying about Freddy and zuc and then being pleasantly surprised by their contracts then this happens, like someone said this money should have went to Hartman and you just let foligo walk.

I don't know if Guerin has had outstanding luck in how his contracts have panned out, or if he knows more than almost everyone else, but I'm going to laugh if this contract ends up being another steal.

In order for this to be a steal, Foligno would have to score 40+ points. Something he has done once in his career.

Eh, if he scored 20 goals and 30 points combined with his physical play I'd be ok with it. I highly doubt this contract works out, but if I thought it was likely to I'd have no reason to laugh if it does.

Being okay with and having his contract viewed as a steal are two very different things for me lol.

I've spent the last few days contemplating how this extension might be a good thing. I've since given up.

No one can justify an average 21-23 point player getting a 16m contract over 4 years.

wasn't he hurt a lot of last year? Hopefully he's back to form and can chip in some more.

It's kinda mind blowing how effective that GREEF line was only to never recreate it again. For his current role without that line it's definitely pricy/risky,

But there's also a lot more to a team than points = player worth is x, and we don't see how the room gels or 'the culture'. Teams not doing anything anyways so I wouldn't fret about it.
