Oh sorry there is a reason, teams with none player paid over 10 Million contracts aer won the Cup twice. The Years with 2-3 Huge contracts are done, the Times of Kings and Chicago, even Boston doesnt had something like this around. Current depth is what counts as most.

It would be nuts if the Panthers got that deal, he is worth 10 000 000+ a year

It'd be an absolute steal but it's unlikely.
Really hoping the 10x8 rumor is true; that's still a very good deal and matches Bob's albatross contract.

It’s neither close nor not. It’s relevant. If I recall correctly, at $10 million it’s a $50k savings.
There’s a lot of other things to factor in, but they’re preferential. Certainly you can be filthy stinking rich in Florida with ease. Take New York City for example though. You’re not that rich if you’re pulling in $2 million. That’s like $500k in South Florida.
