1 - Team doesn't support one another. Goalie often left on his own, defense get little help from forwards, and forward in puck battles don't have much help. Too many guys trying the win games by themselves.

2 - Coaching. Lack of a solid system that suits the team, lack of accountability, way too easygoing a culture.

3 - Injuries and mind games.
Good players out with big injuries and then guys who are back from injury are playing a soft "I don't wanna get injured" style of game.

4 - Scheduling. I mean really...wtf is this shit all year?

5 - Team construction. Having a bazillion LD and one RD (who has an injury history) is silly...especially when also going out last year to get another LD. Lots of copycat forwards. Where's the big punishing guys? Where are the muckers? Too many non-physical skill guys. Can't have Brady be the one to do most of the fighting and physical work, either.

Sad thing is, if #1 was fixed at the beginning of the year, there would've been a good chance to get a wildcard spot even with all the other flaws.

I blame the media. If they stopped reporting that Ottawa wasn’t in a playoff spot the fans wouldn’t be so upset with the team all the time. Grocery store.

Also the other teams we ay are way better then us. Who expected this lineup of players to win anything in this league - ridiculous

DJ showed us the power of positive thinking. Tire fire everywhere in the organization yet we were always just a bounce away from turning it around and being an elite team - glad we’re over that and we’re going to get the major surgery we need

Hmm.

In order but not one way ahead of the other.

1) goaltending
2) bad habits becoming fully part of some of these players after years of no one correcting them or punishing them.
3) coaching (related to 2)
4) injuries but injuries should be dealt with if 2 and 3 are working well.
5) power play. It’s the one thing that we should be able to rely on and it sucks ass.

1-5 Is clearly us being the necessary blood sacrifice to the chaos gods to not allow the leafs to win a Stanley cup.

Worst PK in the NHL as well, and a team that takes way to many penalties

So, based on the xGF model, our PK and our PP should be middle of the pack, but in reality we're bottom 10 in both.

How do you fix a pk that allows an average amount of scoring chances and a pp that has generated an average amount of them? I guess you can blame the PK on goaltending,

The gap between our expected special teams performance and actual performance is among the worst in the league.

It’s a basic full team sucking from the net to the face off dot. f*** the metrics this team sucks ass everywhere and are fooling themselves into believing they are one bounces away or the refs made a bad call and they deserve glory for their talents.

Seems like the players were happier pretending they were good and having DJ constant praising of their horrible hockey play instead of putting in the work to be good.

NOTE TO BRADY AND TIMMY - Alfie and Hossa left a ton of points and goals behind to play solid 2 way hockey and win. Both are HOFers. f*** your ideas of how the game should be played you both literally have no clue what winning even is - do what Alfie and JM ask or go play in Texas

Not even fun to have a contrarion outlook on Brady or the Sens anymore.

Now every knows that the team captain is a selfish player, immature, liability defensively and that the Sens are complete frat bros who are mentally weak.
Does that mean you'll give up posting about it then?

We probably have the most stationary offense in the entire league, pretty easy to defend when everyone is standing still watching the play instead of being engaged in the game.
