Let's start the season with a bang. The Leafs are terrible this year, this should be an easy game to score 4-5 goals.

Expect big things from Montreal this year.

Not counting the backup goalie, our most inexperienced player is Greg Pateryn, with 27 NHL games under his belt. Only Pateryn (7th D) and Condon (backup goalie) are technically rookies this season.

Pateryn, Tinordi and De La Rose will likely be the scratches on opening night. That means our most inexperienced player in the lineup tomorrow will be Nathan Beaulieu, who will be playing in his 100th NHL game (including playoffs).

Not relying on rookies to be a big part of the team. Almost entirely a veteran team. Leafs are awful. Should be a big win, and a big season.

I want Eller to become a powerforward, will not necessarily translate into a lot of points, but it will open up tons of ice for Semin and Galchenyuk to do their thing.

What about the Impact game? [gets violently murdered then corpse gets defiled]

[From a higher plane] I really hope they can pull it together. Curious who's going to score the first goal of the season... I say Galchenyuk

Bryan Flynn, assisted by DD and DSP... on the PP.

Fingers crossed that Semin's wrist shot is still good / will get better than it looked in pre season. He's skill and playmaking still there, shot looked significantly weaker.

Looking forward to inevitable RDS graphic showing third line as first line.

well last year our first line was Patch-DD-Weise.

Not we have
Patch-Plekanec-Gallagher
and
Margarine-DD-Weise

So which one is the first line? The one with 33% of last year's first line or the one with 66% of last year's first line?

The one with the only true elite first line forward the team has. If I'm another team, whatever line Patch is playing on is the line I need to focus on shutting down.

Good ol Margarine, such a reliable player for us plus he's not soft as Butter.
