Eakins is wondering what more does he have to do to get his *** fired! I mean; he's tried absolutely everything a man can do!

In all seriousness tho.. I bet if this was Eakins' last season of his contract, he'd walk. Now he's just sitting there hoping to get fired so he can at least collect a paycheque for two more seasons. He knows no organization will attempt hiring him at any level in the NHL!

Why? If Babcock is Katz/Nicholson's end game, this would be exactly the course they take. Tank out, get rid of Lowe/Mac/Eakins, draft one of McDavid/Eichel and have Babcock come on board as coach/gm and who would be someone that attracts free agents, and not be afraid to put his foot on the throats of those players in our org that need it, and having a coach in full control of his roster is a good thing IMO, if they are capable. And Babcock is capable.

I say there would be little to no chance because it seems as though Katz will not be getting rid of Lowe, and Lowe seems set on his guys. If Babcock wants both duties (Admittedly, I've only heard that. No real source), the GM position wouldn't be available.

The only way it could work is if Katz started cleaning house, or he gives Lowe some orders.

Being a Sens fan, I know from experience that you do not want an owner meddling in the operations of the hockey team.

We should've kept Krueger around... At least our special teams performed under him, and everyone played hard.

I remember Yakupov saying that he's a coach you want to win for. For some reason I doubt he'd say the same about Eakins.

Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where George is trying hard to get fired from the Yankees but no matter what he does he remains employed

Has no answers for anything. Answers on questions as a coach that he should know. You're coaching a professional hockey team in the best league in the world, yet you have no answers for the questions of the team? Idiot. Fire him already. His leash is way too long.

I suspect the staff gets the ax before the end of the year, with the exception of Ramsay who stays on as interim coach until the end of the year. The Season is over, I don't mind seeing change now, and then evaluation.

But the question becomes do they just fire the coach or fire everyone. Fingers crossed for everyone.

The playing safe? Mact influence, he thinks, hey we played a boring defense style hen we got to the cup final should work here! Except we do not have the once in a life time luck that team had with players playing well over their heads and the other teams goalies being flat.

Hey, as I stated the other day, when MacT was questioned why Toby Peterson was on 20 consecutive pps on the point in which they did not score his reply was 'Because he is a safe player'.

This team literally does nothing well.

Could be worse, it could be the Patrick Stefan draft, but literally only that.
