Confirmed that Laine is not coming to the Worlds. He is still in NHLPA Player Assistance Program.

I mean I don't think anyone expected him to come considering his situation and how many games he missed. Kinda weird reporting by the team.

The NHL season is ending and we should expect some information in the upcoming weeks. I don't have high hopes considering the contract situations. I think Maccelli, Armia and Määttä are the likeliest players to join. Maybe Korpisalo. I don't expect Granlund to join and Haula is a mystery to me. Puljujärvi might join but he doesn't have a guaranteed spot on the team so he needs to impress in the camp.

The team is playing practice games against Sweden tomorrow and on Friday. They'll probably make some cuts next week so I think we get news on NHL players then the earliest.

Hyry, Turunen, Koivunen, O.Kapanen maybe Ohtamaa, Mäenpää and Mattila should join from Kärpät and KalPa next week. No idea about SHL/NLA players.

Bring in new blood. The aforementioned have fulfilled their duties already.

Oksanen - MiG - Puljujärvi
Innala - Kapanen - Luoto
Lammikko - Hyry - Nurmi
Mäenalanen - Björninen - Pakarinen

Lehtonen - Määttä
Rissanen - Saarijärvi
Riikola - Rindell

Säteri
Larmi
Lehtinen

I think Lammiko gets a call. Jalonen type. And Lehtonen ofc.

That would be the hardest working team in the entire WC. And 3 good goalies.

This is the thread for us I think
Well, since one of the moderators, in their infinite wisdom, decided to combine the other thread to the U18 thread, I say we'd simply be following their direction if we used that one instead.

Nashville is on the way out and even if Dallas does take out Vegas they will play Colorado next round. Not to mention that Carolina more than likely will play the Rags in round two in the EC. Patience is a virtue-let's hope Jalonen/Lehtinen feel the same way.

Puustinen is a nice addition in this winger situation.

It's a pity about Maccelli, but I think that after this much waiting, no one was penciling him in anymore.

I also read that Pajuniemi is out with an injury, while Vittasmaki is in. With Maccelli and Levtchi also out, the choices on the LW/RW top line is limited..

I wouldn't say Levtchi is "out", because he probably wasn't on Jalonen's wishlist to begin with.

Hintz is still a possibility, but if we work with what we're confirmed to have, the 1st line looks like either Innala or Puustinen on one wing, Granlund down the middle and a power forward on the other - I'm thinking Oksanen, Pakarinen or Pulju.

Why not Innala-Granlund-Puustinen, you might ask. Because that line would seriously lack size. All of them are less than six feet tall.

Which leaves the 2nd line with the other one of Innala/Puustinen on one wing, Kapanen/Suomela down the middle, and another power forward on the other. Nurmi is also an option.

While it's not exactly the greatest selection around, it's not a complete disaster as far as top-six goes. We've had better, but we've also had worse.
