This is the first really big event of the Olympics for me. The preceding women's games were fun and I've enjoyed many other events, but now we're getting a great hockey game here.

I will be cheering for Canada but I expect the US to win.

I hope that any clowns that might be in the arena will be suitably pounded.

Game means nothing in terms of standings since both are in the semis already but it should still be an intense game.

USA has beaten Canada in 4 straight games...I don't think Canada will want that to continue and potentially get into their heads in a knockout game in the future.

Significant game in that aspect for both teams.

Adding to what this user posted. Anytime Canada vs USA matters as it is two power houses testing each other. We get a better perspective on where both teams stand going forward. To say this match up doesn't matter is just a stupid statement.

Seeding matters I imagine. Assuming Finland beats the Swiss, the #1 seed probably wouldn't have to play them again, right? I imagine both teams would prefer to not have to play Finland again.

Game could get ugly fast. USA beat Canada the last 4 or 5 games in a row.
