I like the term for sure and the dollars won't hurt us. I never really considered him a core player but I have always had time for him because he has reasonably good skill and I think he can play with a lot of different types of players.

Gotta say, I'm surprised there isn't more vitriol in this thread. Or any at all.

I'm good with this. The contract isn't a steal, but it's fair, and you get a player with a [injuries aside] high floor. I like Fabbri's game a lot, he's very versatile, his skill allows him to play up and his industrious style with strong forechecking and backchecking allows him to play down. He's no Bertuzzi, but his value will go up if/when Bert gets moved.

Im good with this. My guess was 3 years at 3.75 per year, so this is pretty damn close to what I was expecting. Age fits perfectly with our core.

A fair price with team-friendly term for a player flexible enough to be useful regardless of how the team evolves in the short term. Can fill in anywhere in top 9, and contract will be tradeable barring injuries or falling off a cliff. Not exciting, but makes perfect sense for where we are at the moment.

Great value.

Keep the asset.

Yzerman Long-term deal = 3 years.

Short-term = 1-year
Bridge = 2-year
Long-term = 3 years

Players are taking less, because of Florida tax....because of Steve Yzerman.

You have to have a few of these contracts, but a lot of teams are bogged down with 4+ million dollar deals for middle 6 forwards. All in all, given his age and scoring it is not bad.

Don't like it. Maybe the contract helps trading him while everybody knows his price tag for the next three years.
I really hate him when he is picking the puck in the own zone, skates to the o-zone, shoots without traffic or locking for teammates to create a play. The puck is always gone.

22+22=44 point player in his last 82 games.

110 games at Red Wings since the trade, 32+31=63 points (0.57 points/g)

He is putting up Tatar-numbers when Tatar was at same age (0.56 ppg, same goal distribution)
