He didn’t play well today. Didn’t earn ice time. Lemieux has been great in recent games. Until Kakko returns Lafreniere should go back to the right side because Lemieux is playing like our 3LW right now. At least we can throw Lafreniere free ice time at RW with Kakko out because there’s no one to take the ice time. I can’t justify Lafreniere playing like 15 minutes today with how well the other three LW’s were playing.

His stats are underwhelming, but its even worse when you consider he turned 19 four months ago and this is more of a draft+2 year season than a draft+1 year.

At this point thou,..is it really good thing to keep him in the NHL? just because,..some sort of experience?

He plays well, supposedly, but its not like the Rangers need him and wouldn't it be better for him
to play well elsewhere and produce? Not everyone are mentally strong you know, who knows
what this could do to Alexis.

It's pretty fair to wonder with 1 point in 9 games. Most of the time that's when players have been sent back.

Considering he was almost 2019 draft eligible people are going to be hard on this kid on here. Expect him to get the Hughes/Kakko treatment from fans who look at the boxscore and not actual watch him play. Still think he is the safest 1st overall since Matthew's in 2016. Kid will be good for the the Rangers and it's not a matter of if , it's just how soon it will be.

I think calling Laf and Hughes busts was ridiculous. But, it is not like people weren't hyping them up beyond belief.

You don’t think these young guys shouldn’t be in the AHL? Imo Stutzle and Lafreniere would both be better off (for their development) in the AHL.

If they can play/hang in the league (according to the fans they can)
, then no they shouldn't be in the AHL. Hughes was also struggling last season, got to experience first hand what the league is like, worked on his flaws, and now he looks stunning.
