The list isn't massive. It's pretty common rich young alpha male garbage and stuff that is none of fans' f***ing business (e.g. bankruptcy). The reason you claim it is massive when it isn't, is quite likely because he is black. He is a target in a league of white faces, and also speaks out.

Dear God do I hate modern political talk, you can dislike an individual of a different race without it being racist.

Evander Kane is not a good person and has had issues following him his whole career. But it's definitely everyone in the NHL he has played with is Racist including the Sanjose Sharks, many of whom played with Joel Ward.

Oh and we must not forget one of the most famous people who didn't like Kane and got into a dispute with him Dustin Byfuglien, he must have not liked Kane because he was black as well right?

What's more likely many players and fans of all races don't like Kane because he is an ass or everyone including black players must not like him because he is black.

As long as his goal totals outpace his chance totals he’ll probably find a home. Even Kaepernick would still have a job if he wasn’t bad at it.
We all need to stop others from abusing the term "second chances" when it is clearly inappropriate.

Over the weekend in Vancouver, there was a story about a "chronic offender with 128 prior convictions" being arrested and charged with armed robbery. I'm guessing that many of his defense attorneys and court judges have used the term "second chances" about the offender MANY times over the years.

It seems that to many people, the term's meaning has little to do with the words in the term itself. Isn't the whole reason that many support the concept of "second chances" is because they hope/believe that the individual will not make a similar bad decision a SECOND time? And when they do? Can we EVER use the term "second chances" for that person ever again? Should we?

This won't just disappear for San Jose. Sorry, Sharks fans, but you're going to be hearing about this contract termination for a long time.

They'll be in grievances and appeals for months, and SJ will have a cap hit on their books when all is said and done. Just ask LA who still has a cap hit for Mike Richards until 2032.

Regardless the outcome we win in the end

I guess you're thinking that Dustin Byfuglien threw Evander Kane's track suit into the shower because he is POC?

Let’s ignore all the drama with his ex-wife and the betting on games and the bankruptcy, because the bankruptcy isn’t our business, his ex-wife seems hellbent on dragging him through the mud and the betting allegations were never substantiated.

And now the contract termination — where he skirted Covid protocols and knowingly and irresponsibly endangered lives. Seems like a contract termination is fair.

How many f***ing chances is this guy gonna get? I’m sure he gets at least one more. Kane was my favourite player when the Jets first came back — he was my first jersey. But the longer we had him, the more issues he caused. Seems the controversy hasn’t slowed down since leaving Winnipeg.

The fact that he’s about to get another contract just goes to show the headache he brings isn’t worth $7 million but he’s a good enough player that you can deal with it at $1 million.

I didn't say this was worse than keeping him. But there's no resolution to this that can be called a "win" for San Jose. Just a less bad loss.

But go ahead and insult people so you can feel better. I'm sure you need that right now, big shot.

Eh, if the reports of the teammates wanting him out are true, this is a win regardless on that front.

DeAngelo the guy who currently is playing in the NHL under contract and wasn't dragged anywhere near Kane? That DeAngelo?

It's funny how every response basically proves the point.

I said almost and don’t worry Kane will be playing soon enough. Next year at this time I m sure he”ll do something stupid again. It’s like clockwork with this dude

How can you call "his teammates wanted him out" a win? That's not a good thing.

I'm not calling that a win. I'm calling the removing of him a win. Chances are that whatever their settlement cap penalty is will be less than the buyout they were looking at in the offseason so considering all the long term contracts that the Sharks have, getting out of one with a minor penalty is going to be a win to those looking at the situation from their perspective.
