In 2010 Moldova got 28 votes from the public and 33 from the juries. The relaunch in 2017 got more televotes of course (3rd), but also did well among juries (8th). Ukraine in 2015 got 12 points from the two voting juries and the eventual winner Serbia 1 point.

Käärijä's song was not a joke entry. Yeah probably some people voted for him 'cos he's funny looking but the song is catchy and Käärijä is a great performer. People around the World were singing along. You don't get that kind of reaction for just being a meme.

It seemed more odd this year that the professional jury pick end up winning.

They've often been on the wrong end of the results.
