NA can't get by Europe's D, let alone solve Hasek. HF Boards is ablaze: "why was Green chosen to be on the team when there were better players available? I have Green as #9 on my list of best North American-born defencemen whose careers started 90-91 or later! This is BS!!!"

After much speculation as to who North American coach Alain Vigneault would choose to replace the injured Tkachuk & suspended Pronger, he angers everybody on HF Boards by choosing Ray Whitney ["compiler!"] & Drew Doughty to sub in. Europe bumps Fedorov up to center the first line & Ilya Kovalchuk gets third line left wing duties. "How DARE they leave off Datsyuk?!" fume fans on HF Boards.
Ovechkin & Jagr both score power play goals. Lindros gets injured in the third period & is out for the rest of the series.

Dany Heatley demands to be traded from North America to another continent [presumably Asia or Africa] & sits out the rest of the series. HF Boards is abuzz with innuendo as to who will replace Lindros & Heatley on the NA squad. No less than 37 heads explode when Vigneault chooses Michael Peca & Shane Doan ["Doan? are you f***in' kidding me?! What about Spezza?!!"]
Crosby is injured six seconds into the first period & is out for the series. D. Sedin, Bure & Selanne tally for Europe. Mike Green falls to injury in the third.

Crosby & Green are replaced by Spezza ["finally!"] & Dan Boyle. Ovechkin, Jagr & Fedorov score for Europe.
