Pretty sure the Sedin`s are the reason for that. Think they are pretty good friends and has played together for Sweden many times.

Those Swedes do know that there is a 5 year age gap between them right? So, the twins may be the reason Loui signs in Vancouver, but he'd better know that the 2nd half of his contract, that they will be gone.

The reality for NHL teams during this free agent frenzy is that by handing out 6-7 year contracts to players who either are in their early 30's or have a lot of wear and tear on their bodes, that they will end up buying out the final year or 2 of their contracts. So, are they going to be prepared to eat $2 million in dead cap space over a span of 4 years down the road? That has to be the mentality of the teams going into July 1.

Benning gonna Benning

How so?

The guy scored 30 goals last year and is gonna get paid regardless of the team.

Benning has made his share of questionable moves but this won't be one of them.

Obviously nothing is certain but the Sedins have eluded to staying around on 1-years after this contract is up depending on how they see themselves as contributors.

Dreger has no insight into Vancouver ever since Nonis left.

Eriksson to Vancouver has been a common link this past week, so it's not like it's anything new.

The problem with Loui is Years #4 and beyond. His not a great skater and when he slows down he won't be a top-6 player.

The Bruins refused to offer him anything longer than 4 years.
