I'm looking at what the canucks did... Well actually what they didn't do, then look at another bottom place team in the league the Carolina Hurricanes whom also need to rebuild. They dumped a aging vet in Eric staal and got two 2nd round pick and a prospect. The moved Chris versteeg to the kings for a prospect and a 5th round pick. Also move JM Liles for a depth Ahl guy and a 3rd round and 5th round picks. All 3 traded players are ufas, and they got 3 players and 5 picks. Now Carolina has 7 picks in the first 3 rounds of the 2016 draft and 6 picks in the first 3 rounds of the 2017 draft. That's how you rebuild a team...

A little late for that given he's been fleeced in most deals he's done to this point.

It's tough knowing that there isn't anything to look forward to now besides the draft. Which could very well leave us as disappointed as we are today.

we didn't even position ourselves to be worse. can't wait to finish 20th. An entire year and we come away with nothing going forward.

Yup most of the teams were doing this that are in a similar position, Oilers, Flames, Leafs, Sabres...
