Philip Larsen speaks to Danish hockey site and says the following about the trade. Translated by google:
"Many people have a negative view on being traded, but I do not. On the contrary. "Says Phillip Larsen and states:
"I have been very happy with Dallas Stars from day one, but I am also looking forward to play for Edmonton Oilers. It is a great honor that they want me. Edmonton is a great and exciting hockeycity and the Oilers are a traditional club with a strong team and a good organization. I come to a young team that plays offensive hockey, and it will suit me fine. "

Thanks for posting this. When I heard his name I thought I remembered Stars fans pumping his tires a few years ago, didn't realize he had fallen out of favour. Maybe he just wasn't a good fit there. Either way, I see nothing but good coming from this as it will be the first time in years we actually have competition to make the team on the back end. Belov, Larsen, Potter and Klefbom all duking it out for the 6/7 spot... and we might not be done yet.
As for actually getting anything in return for Horcoff, I think MacT pulled a heist. Dallas could have sent back a flaming bag of dog poop and MacT would have stamped it out with an ear to ear grin.
