Philip Larsen speaks to Danish hockey site and says the following about the trade. Translated by google:

"Many people have a negative view on being traded, but I do not. On the contrary. "Says Phillip Larsen and states:

"I have been very happy with Dallas Stars from day one, but I am also looking forward to play for Edmonton Oilers. It is a great honor that they want me. Edmonton is a great and exciting hockeycity and the Oilers are a traditional club with a strong team and a good organization. I come to a young team that plays offensive hockey, and it will suit me fine. "

Thanks for posting this. When I heard his name I thought I remembered Stars fans pumping his tires a few years ago, didn't realize he had fallen out of favour. Maybe he just wasn't a good fit there. Either way, I see nothing but good coming from this as it will be the first time in years we actually have competition to make the team on the back end. Belov, Larsen, Potter and Klefbom all duking it out for the 6/7 spot... and we might not be done yet.

As for actually getting anything in return for Horcoff, I think MacT pulled a heist. Dallas could have sent back a flaming bag of dog poop and MacT would have stamped it out with an ear to ear grin.

It was only a year ago that Stars fans were loving Larsen as the fresh new face on defense. By the end of the 2011-12 season he was up to 20 minutes a game for Dallas. I'm willing to give most players a pass on lockout-season struggles. Let's see how he does during a full 82-game season. I think he'll be a nice addition personally.

He has progressed great every single year since being drafted, with a few hiccups last year. Sometimes I like to take a step back and look at their overall 5-year progression to really reflect on a player's progress. People who just see a player at the NHL level sometimes don't get a whole picture.

Larsen's progression has been nice: http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=6006

sorry for nitpicking but it'd be even better if you bothered to put a filter on the second face Nill makes to make it a bit darker, just for it not to contrast with the first one.
other than that, hilarious. you are a king among men, sir Del.
