Three 04 underagers made Pre-Canada Games tournament roster for NL that takes place in Halifax, NS Sep 27-30. Forward Nathan Casey, goalie Mitchell Dinn and defenseman Liam Marshall over a deep 03 list of players. Are there any other underagers attending this tournament from the Atlantic provinces? Wondering because I haven't heard

Hockey PEI are sending a pretty long list of 04s; all of which played on the Hockey PEI u14 team that won silver at the Atlantic Challenge Cup last season.
G - AJ Cooper
D - Isaac Vos
D - Sid McNeill
D - Marshall Gallant
F - Avery Brown
F - Cameron MacLean
F - Donovan Arsenault
F - Kal White
F - Simon Hughes

It seems as we have many scouts on this forum. Who are the top 04s in Quebec? Does playing Midget give them a leg up on the other 04s?

I think Gravel is gone to Ontario. Lavoie from Levis looks like a player to watch.

Think Luneau has a shot at first overall, but Swan was incredible last year.

Gravel is in Ontario and being Dominant again. I've been told that La Starza is also doing good at Shattuck and that Lamoureux impress in Ontario.

Looking forward to seeing Cameron Whynot in the QMJHL he’s gonna be something. Already projected to be drafted in the NHL in 2021. Or is he QMJHL eligible 2019?

My top 10 list of Quebec players after 2 months of hockey:

1- Jake Rozzi F
2- Noah Warren D
3- Jordan Dumais F
4- Markus Vidicek F
5- James Swan F
6- Tristan Luneau D
7- Antonin Verreault F
8- Emanuelson Charbonneau D
9- Yoan Loshing F
10- Justin Côté F

Its not only about points it's about what you bring to the game... Some kids I'm keeping an eye on because they don't have as much depth as others on their team. 18 months is still far a lot will change...

That was 6 months ago. Some players are bigger and stronger since they started playing in Novice. Others grow later at 15-16. First year Midget it evens up and we get to see new faces and new names. If that was the top 3 well it has changed in my humble opinion... But its only November ;-) Note that I chose to include LHEQ players only.

You're right. But the QMJHL includes players from Quebec, Maritimes, Ontario, USA and overseas. There's 5 high quality players in the maritimes right now.

By the way Hockey first the Q doesn't include Ontario and overseas in the draft. Not sure about Americans because the OHL drafts Americans. Europeans are in a special draft at 17 years of age and teams can sign a player from Ontario or anywhere in Canada at 18 only if he hasn't played a single game in the OHL The only 2004 players drafted in the Q in 2020 will be the players who's primary residence of the parents are in Quebec or the Maritimes. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Dubé and Rochette had to apply to the CHL before becoming eligible for the draft.

He has dual citizenship (Swiss and Canadian). So, did that mean he should be admissible for the QMJHL Draft or the CHL Import Draft? That was the key question in recent weeks.
“We were awaiting approval from the CHL. I was really happy when they told me I could be eligible for the QMJHL Draft. There wasn’t a lot of video available on me, so yes I did see myself as a risk to certain teams. I expected that. Not everyone had seen me play. I arrived back in Quebec relaxed and without pressure that way. I figured I would be picked when I would be picked.”

Here's my list for Quebec guys :

1. Luneau (by far, might get exceptionnal status however from what I've heard)
2. Swan (Tigres - Espoir)
3. Drapeau (Bas St-Laurent)
4. Rozzi (LSL)
5. Vidicek (LSL)
6. Vetrano (LSL)
7. Charbonneau (CCL)
8. Warren (CCL)
9. Lavoie (Lévis)

and then you've got Labbé/Roy in Beauce, Beauregard/Fortin in Quebec, Nadeau in Lévis, Bishop/Iasenza/Dumais in LSL, Fontaine/Maltais/Mianscum with Vert/Noir, Juneau/Lafontaine in Trois Rivieres, I like the D Michel in Triolet, Verreault in Selects du Nord has upside despite size, Patella is a lock for the Q in Laval, Barry with Noir et Or... these guys look like the best in Quebec right now.

Doesn't look like the strongest crop out of Quebec outside of the guys from Lac St-Louis and Luneau who is dominating in Midget AAA already.
