Don't let Megna's size fool you, he's not particularly physical and not the least bit mean. He's a standout skater at the college level though. I'd like to see him skate alongside pros, but he's very smooth and agile among his peers.

He was the go - to power play qb for unl.

If the options are Bieksa - Holzer, Megna - Bieksa or Megna - Holzer for our bottom pairing, I'd most certainly go with the latter.

Yeah, Megna on the left and Holzer on ther right is what it should be. Though I think Bieksa has been better than usual in the last couple of games.

Either way, RC is never gonna sit Bieksa in favour of Holzer. Once our defence is healthy we'll be lucky if RC even keeps Montour on the team.

I don't rate Holzer highly at all, as bad as Bieksa is I would take him over Holzer on the third pairing.

I would be pretty pissed if they sent Montour down though, he's not playing at a top 4 level but he's still the 5th best Dman on the team when everyone is healthy.

Megna was arguably the worst Dman on the ice against the Canes. I would rather not lose him in favour of Beauchemin or Bieksa but if he puts up more performances like that he won’t last long.

Yep if a pick that late can occupy a spot on the NHL depth chart for any period of time, you've more than got your value out of it.
