8 years $52 million or a $6.5 million per AAV.

I think it will be more than that, The guy is a stud , just had a 77pts season at 21 and will only get better and likely produce at a PPG rate or close for many more season

I say 7m minimum but it won't surprise me if it's 7.5-8 unless he take a himetown discount.

Edit : Not to mention he has 11pts in 11 games right now in the playoffs. Great player

7M would be roughly the equivalent to the Hall/Nugent-Hopkins contracts that they gave out in the past.

My guess would be 6.5M-7Mx6 years.

Well, Eberle and RNH got 6, so 7-8 isn't out of the question.

RNH and Hall both signed for about 9.33% and 10% of the cap. 73M cap right now, so on the low end the equivalent would be about 6.8M.

8 year deal, 7-7.5 per would be my guess. If we could get Connor to sign same term @ 9.7 per I would be very happy.

Guessing 6 years @ $7-7.5m.

Buys up a couple UFA years. I'm doubting we'd see an 8 year deal without pushing the AAV higher.

Nice to see people are actually respecting Drai.
You have to think he will get 7.5per long term.
Guy will be centering his own line moving forward and has proven he can produce without Connor.

He'll get 6-6.75, same range as other top young players have gotten in the last couple years.

Do you think someone could poison pill him on an offersheet like Calgary tried with ROR? It leaves Edmonton with nothing but bad options.

Year 1: 6.5M
Year 2: 11.6M
9.1 AAV and draft pick compensation: 2 X 1st, 1X2nd, 1x3rd.

Two years of RFA remaining and a Qualifying offer of 11.6M during the years Edmonton is trying to re-sign McDavid. Pretty frustrating thing to do.

You think the Oilers match?

they gave RNH and Eberle that 6x6 they might as well try it one more time because I'm positive this one won't backfire

8x7, if Drai is the player that he is from what we've seen in the playoffs and this season it's a steal in 1-2 years

I think the oilers really try to get draisaitl and mcdavid to sign a kucherov deal - go hard for a cup for 3/4 years and then pay out the big bucks.
