I'm not blaming the loss on the goalie. Look at the Sabres record with and without Ullmark and also their goalies' save percentages.

Four of Ullmark's wins are against US though, so what does that mean? We've done well padding his stats. And odds are it would have been five if he didn't leave one game early with injury.

Hes been stout in almost every game he has played in to his credit. He looks promising thus far.

He's an UFA and we better hope he isn't in our division next year?

Every team turns the puck over. It’s an aggressive, fast, offense oriented league now. Your goalie needs to make a save from time to time.
No... as mentioned during the broadcast... every team does not throw pucks to the middle of the ice. It's a young team that's making errors but don't act like defense doesn't exist any longer.

We didn't create much in the third period. That's where they took the game away from us. Why? We played hard but without any added intensity there when the game was on the line. When we got behind we then looked like a tired and beaten team.

Third period was the story of this game. We did some good stuff earlier. That power play when our guys just got caught out there and run down for over a minute was a turning point. Bad penalty by Shango too. And that Travis couldn't clear the puck just before the game winner on the PK too.

Lots of mistakes tonight. Smith on their tying goal in the second period. Ugh.

Good game by Zacha's line.

Goaltending was f***ing asshole. I don't care if the other team has more goal scoring talent, Wedgewood played like down right dog water. Again officiating was down right dog shit, I can't for the life of me fathom, how you can watch players get repeatedly cross checked in the back and nocked down to the ice and not call shit a god damn penalty. Sami's interference was charmin soft, I really could care less if that's an actually penalty or not because if that is any "elite" player on a playoff team that's just a "savvy veteran move" the double standard is so god damn sickening. Re write the whole god damn rule book and make it black and white because its a joke. There also should be no difference between "playoff" hockey and regular hockey when it comes to officiating. Travesty.

It means he’s their one real NHL goalie and when we injured him during our last game with the Sabres on Feb 25 he was out for a month and they a lost every game with other goalies. That’s what it means.

I have, I play D in my beer leagues and that happened many times, luckily most of us wear cages haha
I have been hit in the face from people being careless with their shot before, but that's why the rules clearly say a player is responsible for their stick.

Ok, now you’re just being really weird about this, he was clearly one of the best players on the ice this period.

I’m not always the biggest Pavel Zacha at center fan but I have no problem saying he was one of the best players on the ice tonight because I’m not weirdo about players when I discuss them here.

What do you get out of being childish about this? You’re not winning anything (not any sort of debate, I can assure of that).

I'm starting to believe he's doing this on purpose now.

He knows Bratt is playing well but he still does it because he's only fishing for attention.

I mean, I’ll take the shot suppression haha, it’s easier to clean up the mental errors that are currently costing us then entire systematic issues which causes bad shots against stats.

Yeah I agree. It's much better than the guys looking completely lost and clueless under Hynes.

lol yeah exactly, he got injured against the Devils and the Devils won that game. All 3 wins the Devils have against the Sabres are against their backup goalies. Even taking out the 4 times he beat the Devils he still has more wins than the rest of the Sabres goalies combined.

Our forwards inability to score goals makes every goalie look great. It really doesn't matter if he is in the division or not. We will just make whatever scrub that comes in behind him look great.
We do make a lot of goalies look better then they are.
