2nd and 3rd lines are strange to me....similar players on each line so I'm surprised the two aren't mixed a bit.
That must be a Lou thing. Marty used to give up first NHL goals all the time.

That’s what I’m hoping for too. No we don’t have a Matthews type players, but I think Noco is on par with Marner...if not better. If you had draft 10 forwards on both teams what would it look like in your opinion? I’ll take a shot at it...
1. Matthews
2. Hall
3. Hischier
4. Marner
5. Nylander
6. Johansson
7. JVR
8. Palms
9. Kadri
10. Zacha.
Forgive me if this is horrible
If you were building an expansion today and had to draft 10 forwards is kind of what I was getting at.Wish I could blame it on Lou, because it would only be the last couple seasons, but that's been a thing in Leafland for as long as I can remember lol
Are we talking this season, or going forward? I'm going to sound like a super-homer here, but I think right now, Nylander probably falls #2 (possibly #3 behind Nico if we're talking long-term). I'd also swap JVR with Kadri. If we're talking today:
1. Matthews
2. Nylander
3. Hall
4. Kadri (He's still pretty underrated)
5. Johnasson (Think he's very underrated as well)
6. Marner
7. Nico (Like you said, he's about on par with Mitch, but nod to Mitch with the experience)
8. Palmieri
9. Zacha
10. Brown (20 goal guy with great D)
Basically 2/3 if what we hope for when healthy with a very young and skilled RW added onMan that JVR-Bozak-Marner line looks like a damn good 3rd line.
So stoked for this tonight!
He might actually go even more defense mode, which against this team, might not be a bad thing. It would be a big help if Zacha starts to imposes himself tonight. The Leafs are a good team and better at home. I'll be happy with a point tonight.
BTW Bozak had 2 more pts than Hall last year; this is the order;
Matthews-69pts
JVR-62pts
Kadri-61pts
Marner-61pts
Nylander-61pts
Bozak-55pts
Hall-53
Palmieri -53pts
Gardiner-43pts
Henrique -40pts
