That’s what I’m hoping for too. No we don’t have a Matthews type players, but I think Noco is on par with Marner...if not better. If you had draft 10 forwards on both teams what would it look like in your opinion? I’ll take a shot at it...

Are we talking this season, or going forward? I'm going to sound like a super-homer here, but I think right now, Nylander probably falls #2 (possibly #3 behind Nico if we're talking long-term). I'd also swap JVR with Kadri. If we're talking today:

5. Johnasson (Think he's very underrated as well)
6. Marner
7. Nico (Like you said, he's about on par with Mitch, but nod to Mitch with the experience)

Going after JVR this summer is an interesting topic. There would be pros and cons to it but he's a different kind of player we don't have and it would open a lot of trade possibilities for D.
