I think it's asking even more of him to play with turds like DSP and the fodder we have in the bottom 6 and create anything offensively. If we were right in the middle of a fight for the playoffs, sure keep Zajac and Hall together because they're likely our best combo. At this point I think we should be making lineup decisions for the future. Leave Zacha with Hall and let them build some chemistry. Leave Santini up. When Blandisi is healthy, give him another try. Maybe at the deadline move PAP, Fiddler, etc. and replace them with young guys like Pietilia, JQ, Coleman, etc.

He's just not going to be able to play 18 minutes a game with Hall though. He's 19 years old.

We've already had the YS debate a number of times, it's not going anywhere anytime soon especially the more resistance there is to it. If you want it to die don't chant it, let it eventually die or be marginalized of its own accord. If the team itself didn't wage such a public war on it a few years back I'm not sure there'd be this kind of resistance to change.

If it's being chanted when we're in the basement, I doubt it'll go away if we're actually good. It just sounds immature and mostly, ignorant.

Now when you refer to a war on the chant, are you referring to changing the goal song? Because I think that had more to do with its performer's sexual crimes.

That's what it was the first time back in '08 or whenever they first tried to remove the song and there wasn't nearly the resistance to it. The most recent time after the lockout they made it obvious it was because they wanted a different 'atmosphere' at games. They would have been better off sticking with the anti Glitter defense.

Not to mention they intentionally jacked up the volume to all their new goal songs trying to drown out YS and it only made it louder. The more they fight it, the more people want to stick it to new management.

Keep Hall - Zacha - PAP and Merrill - Santini together

When I saw those number I went and checked Santini's Zone Starts. Interestingly 66% of Santini's Zones starts last night were in the Defensive Zone.

On a side note, since Moore has been a Devil he has consistently been the worst defenseman in shots for/against. He has been at or over 32 shots against per 60 nearly his entire time as a Devil. 33.41 Shots Against per 60 is insane.
