In my eyes, it clearly lit a fire in his play. But the line is clearly clicking and has great chemistry.

The Zacha/Nico/Tatar line has been good too, just not as good at scoring goals and generating high danger chances.

The former line has 8% less offensive zone faceoffs than Bratt's line though.

This is almost as silly as the “Bratt can’t play against the big guys” narrative. He’s getting lots of points because he’s very good and getting some good luck. He played well with Nico too (with little luck). He played well with Johnsson and Hughes last year too. He’s just good.

Lotta dumb narratives about Bratt are going into the toilet this year if he can just play 75 games. Thankfully we can craft new dumb narratives like 'Bratt can only play with Mercer'.

He’s playing extremely well on his new line as well. He tends to be on lines that play really well because he drives play better than most in the league.

If Hughes comes back and gets Shara and Tatar going, one of either Nico or Mercers lines are going to feast on some teams 3rd lines and 3rd pairings.
