I'm having an argument on the Leafs board about how our goaltending has performed so far this season. I maintain that Freddie has been okay. Not great, not terrible, just okay. My, for lack of a better term, opponent maintains that the defence (according to regular and advanced stats) has been above average, and Freddie terrible.
I'm wondering if anyone has ever come across goal-type statistics. I hypothesized that a shockingly high percentage of goals against the Leafs this year have been caused by tip-ins and deflections, and I'd love to find some numbers from across the league find out which of us has a point.
Cheers lads.
