I asked a straight question. Is Lars Eller a splashy shiny get? The average hockey fan has never heard of him. Not that he is a bad player. And sure. I you think he wants to win now, Eller is a better choice than Schmidt. Shiny, splashy is famous, big name imo.

Read what I wrote. I said "shiny, splashy play" not player, in relation to the situation McPhee will be in, not in terms of playing style. Tom Wilson getting bloody every game could provide gladiator entertainment. A winning team is the goal, not a perpetual build and rebuild situation. So a "win now" player like Eller, as you said, could fit into a situation like that.

If Vegas stinks and transient fan interest from tourists wanes, how many years do you think McPhee gets to create a product that's at least capable of holding peoples' interest when SO much else is around in Vegas to grab your attention?
