Quaker State returns to team sponsorship w/ Trackhouse Racing for Richmond/Atlanta-2; renews title sponsorship of Atlanta-2 which began @ Kentucky
Quaker State is a classic livery to have on a race car. Looking forward to seeing it on the Track House cars who have some of the best graphics packages on these "next gen" cars. Really happy with what I watched at Atlanta this weekend. Cup race was excellent at the end.

Restart Zone experiment w/ longer zone will end effective this week; the Restart Zones at all tracks going forward will be returned to traditional zones starting @ COTA.... from NASCAR VP of Competition Elton Sawyer telling Sirius XM NASCAR radio;

1st CTS Tire test completed for North Wilkesboro's return to active status since 1996; Cup teams will conclude the test tomorrow in their 1st look at North Wilkesboro since 1996; (remember, the Craftsman Truck Series wasn't conceived until 1995.... exhibition races were held at Tucson Raceway Park in the fall/winter of 1994);

also from Sirius XM NASCAR Radio: by 5 pm today we'll have an update from Project 91 by Trackhouse Racing as to what their 2023 schedule will be post COTA; Kimi Raikkonen to make 2nd career start this weekend potentially and will there be other international drivers added to Project 91's driver list.... Justin Marks' plan is yes, there will be more drivers considered;

XFINITY:

BeONE Sports Sponsoring JD Motorsports/6/Poole @ COTA;

Hard Rock Vodka joining Junior Motorsports/8/Berry for ROVAL XFINITY Playoff race;

Balthazar Leguizamon entered for CHK Racing/74 @ COTA (team has officially made 1 race in 2023);

Derek Kraus making XFINITY Debut @ Richmond for Kaulig Racing;

CTS:

and then we have clips of old races:

if you have NASCAR on FOX.... THERE'S AN ARCHIVE clip of Atlanta after the initial repave in 1997.... the Steve Grissom 41 car catching the inside wall on that reconfiguration in the Gen 5 car which severed the fuel cell

GM ceasing Camaro production after 2023 model year, NASCAR and other motorsport series now wondering what model will GM choose to run race-wise; GM can run Camaro through 2024 in NASCAR since it's grandfathered/approved(rule is any production model produced can still be utilized/ run even if the car is still being built as Camaro will cease effective 1/31/24)
