Based on what we've seen so far, in a world where some of the absurd minor league assignment rules didn't exist, Dobson would play in the AHL for at least the first half of the season. He's been ok but clearly has some rough edges that I'm sure Trotz would prefer be cleaned up there first if that were possible, but since he has to go back to the Q if he doesn't make it, it would take a screw up of Ho-Sangian proportions for him to not make the team.
