Eric Roy is a Flames D I most intrigued with.

If you see him play, you understand. 6'7" 241 pounds with less than 7% body fat at 18. He also skates well, and with an edge and is really good at shutting guys down. Whats not to like exactly? Roy can't even play defense.

I think it's one of those things where the pick was so out of left field that people are trying extremely hard to justify it. Same thing goes on with some Devils fans and Matteau

Christian Thomas. He lit up the OHL and has an insane shot. He could go on to be a top-notch goal scorer in the NHL or he could just as easily bust and amount to nothing more than an AHLer. The talent is definitely there, but he has to be able to put it all together.

On the other end of the spectrum, Rocco Grimaldi will be interesting to watch when he hits the pros.

Michael Ferland. Good offensive skills all around. Decent skater. And one hell of a mean streak. Issues are he doesn't have his conditioning to a pro-level, and possibly an attitude issue.

This guy has been improving faster than most of the Oiler's prospects.

He plays a big, mean game and despite his size he is fairly crafty and has good hands.

His biggest issue is his skating, but that can be taught.

He may be another hidden gem from the BCHL similar to Jamie Benn.

Matteau held his own in the NHL at 18. Sure they should have given away that pick but he isn't exactly a terrible prospect. 2nd/3rd line potential.

Yeah he's a decent prospect, as is Kanzig. But there are some people who will go to great lengths to defend him through all his faults

A couple of Tampa's prospects have been mentioned, but the one I think of from our system is Ondrej Palat. He seems like he has such a complete game, and whatever line he's on (in the AHL) ends up being the Crunch's best line. From his limited time as a call up, he seems to be incredibly talented and an amazing two-way forward.

95%? That's a bold statement.

And I'm sticking with it. He had the best shot in the Rangers franchise and everyone in Ranger discussion agreed, don't follow the Habs board at all so I wouldn't know what they have to say.
