Not if no other team put in a claim and seeing that the Avs have the last waiver request, it is obvious no other team put in a claim.

Not entirely wrong. He can be loaned to the AHL for 30 days then he has to go through waivers again to stay there

Did you miss where Arizona waived him meaning he would be in the AHL regardless which team had his rights
The point is that if he was staying in Arizona it would be with an NHL job. If he got waived he was coming back to Colorado when they claimed him.

You assume that was the point. The OG poster said he’s starting to feel bad for him after he was reclaimed by Colorado. Another poster chimed in also assuming by saying it’s because hes going to be making an AHL salary instead of NHL.

Why would anyone think if he was staying in Arizona after they waived him? It would just be stupid for someone to think such a thing. That’s like saying gee I feel bad for JJ. If he was good he’d make more money. That if is based off a hypothetical that has 0 chance of occurring.

That's a dumb point. We just picked up Conor Ingram off waivers to be our backup goalie. After that pickup JJ no longer has an NHL job with Zona

It's like, the ghost that just won't leave your house. Or like the spider that you can't seem to get rid of. Or the pile of turd your neighbor's dog leaves just on the edge of your property and his property.

I'll stop now.

@Richard88 found his 3G after all.

Seriously, what does COL see in this guy?
Just a solid all around teammate off the ice and at practice?
An AHL backup goalie. It's the teams that are claiming him on waivers (ARI, FLA) that are insisting on him being more. It would be absurd for Colorado to not claim him back in this situation as now he can go play for the Eagles as was always the plan.
