I'm not getting the speed argument here, or against the 2010 Hawks. The game is faster now because the game opens up with more penalties called and guys aren't getting lined up for huge hits as much anymore.

Couldn't you just as easily say Colorado would get manhandled by a physical and defensively excellent Detroit team that was deeper and had better goaltending?

The weirdest part is the 2008 team absolutely suffocated the Penguins team which had Crosby and Malkin in their early prime who are light years better than anyone in the Avs forward group.
