Finally caught the game on the PVR. Frustrating game again, this goalie would be the next Hasek if he could play us every game.

Annoying to get another win, team can’t stop shooting themselves in the foot.

After reading the total puff piece by Wiebe about Scheif and Wheeler... its really hard to understand how any player could have a beef with our softball media

Trying to wrap my head around people caring about Scheifele cheating in 3v3 OT, on a 50/50 puck no less. It’s what top offensive players do, it’s why they won the game.
Also trying to wrap my head around people caring about the Oscars.

When that board battle was happening, i was sitting there thinking “just go for it”. Gotta take the chances sometimes and those are the ones I’m completely for. Others not so much but it’s semantics honestly.

I really like Scheif's game in OT... he turns it back on and looks like the old Scheif in every OT I've seen this year. Just wish he battled for the puck like that all game.

Rock’s career won’t be hurt by it just like Chappelle’s won’t be hurt by making jokes about trans.

Good lord… these are comedians who push the edge. Should comedians now censor themselves to coddle the easily offended? JFC. Frankly, triggered people shouldn’t be going to comedian shows to start with since they can’t handle it.
I'm sure the 25 people who watched the event live on TV will be just fine.

I was at the game and Vejmelka played very well indeed. He made a lot of great stops look routine. The Coyotes may have something with him!

Our power play took a step backwards but it still looked better than it has. Leave it alone and try again next game, I guess.

Scheifele had an overall better game than we've been seeing so that in itself is a positive. Being split up from his BFForevzzz Wheeler may have given him some added motivation?

Wheeler with KFC and PLD was not bad and got some excellent scoring chances with no finish. The goalie was on so we'll see how next game goes.

Hellebuyck did Hellebuyck things. Solid stops, minimal rebounds, and puck playing ability that had the arena gasping everytime he left the crease. I think we could all live without that...

Everyone on our side of the rink was wondering how in the hell none of the officials saw the puck hit the netting before Lowry scored. That whole thing was just another ridiculously bad moment for the officials that is becoming all too common. Seriously, what are they DOING?

But...

A win is a win is a win is a win.

NEXT.

I prefer svech on kfc’s line over wheeler but that would be quite the statement to move Wheeler to the 4th line.

They better keep Heinola in. Looked real solid. I like Stanley but at this moment unless he can play the right side he is the 7th guy on our team
8th I’d still put Samberg ahead of him. Not his fault just how the cookie crumbles and that we are loaded on that side.

Everyone is happy Scheifele got the GWG ... no complaints right?
But he was cheating and if the Coyotes player gets the puck first and passing to the wide open man in front everyone would be cursing at 55.
What Scheifele needs is a good defence behind him because we know he has the offensive skills.

Some would say he anticipated where the puck was going😂. Bottom line is he cheated but did not get caught.

Full uncensored clip of something more exciting than a win against the dogs.

First, when Will approaches Chris with anger in his eyes a normal person would raise their hands in a defensive posture.

Chris not only keeps his hands behind his back, he actually leans forward exposing his chin!

Second, when you are struck in the face you get a surge of adrenaline and either raise your hands to fight or back off to flee.

Chris just stands there like he knew the blow was coming and was not afraid of Will continuing his attack.

Chris makes no "flight or flee" response which is an obvious tell that this was staged.

Third, where is all the security present to stop people invading the stage?

After the "slap", no one from security made any motion onto the stage to break up the "fight" or escort Will off the stage.

Fourth, after "striking" Chris, Will turns his back on Chris and calmly returns to his seat with no concern if Chris would attack him.

If I just walked up to some dude and slapped him in the face I would back away to make sure he doesn't attack me.

Fifth, Will gets to his seat and yells "Keep my wife's name out of your ******* mouth partially on camera.

Then the camera pans to him and he repeats the phrase to make sure everyone sees him say the full sentence.

If this were real the camera would have not shown Will yelling at Chris from his seat twice, they would have cut to commercial.

When Bret Hart was attacked by a fan security was on him immediately unlike what happened at the Oscars.

When this female reporter was attacked look at her "fight or flee" response and how heavy she is breathing compared to Chris rock's reaction.

This reporter gets hit and steps away from his attacker raising his hand to his chin to protect himself.

Chris just stands there and does nothing because Chris knows Will will not continue his attack.

It worked so it was "great anticipation and hockey iq". If it didn't work it would "yet another example of of 55 being lazy, cheating for offense and not playing defense" 😭

Indeed. Putting your PPG captain on the 4th line would indeed be quite a statement about the Jets coaching staff not knowing what they are doing.

Anticipating is exactly what he did, but I understand that runs contrary to the popular narrative.
This place has become so biased in its analysis when certain players are involved. Just the game before Ehlers started breaking up ice in OT before Connor had full possession, but it was absolutely the right play as Connor had a clear advantage to gain possession, but it wasn't 100%. No cheating for offense was ever mentioned. Then when Scheifele does it the next game he is cheating. Scheifele started breaking when he saw Wheeler with a clear advantage to gain possession. While it wasn't 100%, it was well beyond a 50-50 battle. And like Ehlers it was absolutely the right play. It is 3-3 OT and your team has a clear advantage to have a breakaway. Criticize away if we were protecting a 1 goal lead, late in the game, but it is pure bias to do it in OT, especially when the team needs desperately to get the 2 points.

I am critical of Scheifele’s defensive game at even strength but don’t have a problem with this play. 3 on 3 is a different gig.

I gave up on all the award shows for the flakey Hollywood set years ago. Love watching movies but I don’t like hearing most of the actors talk in real life.

Saw the replay of the slap. Bizarre incident even for this group. I thought Smith was great in King Richard, loved the Movie and I am a big Chris Rock fan. Sad, weird moment that seems to reflect how pissed off everyone seems to be at each other these days.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. The repeated questioning and criticism of those others than your own gets old.

Yup, I think Heinola has a chance to be another Morrissey caliber all around dmen. That is more valuable then seeing if you can get Stanley to be a good number 5 dmen.

It wasn't legit criticism. It was someone clearly trying to make a point about how we get upset that Schief cheats for offense and we give him a hard time about it and then 3 on 3 he makes the right call and we praise him. Because it was the right call. Everyone has acknowledged it.
Also I think the key here, is situation. It's a lot more acceptable to think offense first in 3 on 3 in ot than when you are up by one goal and the other team is pressing.
