He's playing left back. Normally Jones and Smalling would probably be the starting center backs (United have not lost a game when they have started as CBs) but I guess Jones is injured again. Blind has played more games a left CB this season and is more comfortable on the ball and more creative offensively. Rojo has played more as LB as well.
