La la land
Didnt figure we would get past CAR. Didnt think we would give them as much trouble as we did. Still not happy with not getting past the first round.

I didn't expect to get past them either but the way we lost the last two games really bothers me.
Giving up a 3-1 lead bothers me more, especially so since it sort of seemed like Carolina wasn't quite as much on their "A" game last night. I get that both teams were probably tired. But if we were going to hold on and steal one, that was probably a good one to have been able to take. And the breakdowns and miscues that led to some of those goals were more frustrating. Oh well.

Disappointing result but we put up more of a fight than we did last year. Alot of the goals that beat Saros were dumb deflections, or at least it seemed that way, but the series was extremely close the entire time. And hell if they couldve held onto the lead the past two games, they wouldve advanced.

I have hated on his playoff game for years, and his overall weakness despite putting up decent points for his role.

I let myself think this year might be different because he did seem to be more filled out and a little stronger this year. I don't think he was physically embarrassed like usual in this playoff, but he was still ineffective.

It's a shame really that we even have to rely on him to score at all, I think Jarnkrok could make an even better career as a defensive PK specialist who has the ability to chip in some points.

Jarnkrok is a piece of foam in the regular season and turns into a feather in the playoffs. He is as invisible in the playoffs as my shadow is in the dark. He’s rostered because he must be a great character guy and he plays because he doesn’t make many mistakes.

don’t know how I would put in his place but also knew he wasn’t going to win a playoff game or series.

jarnkrok, arvidsson, ekholm, Forsberg are really good buddies. it’s time to break up that good ol boys club too from my view. poile sent out subban, turris, and smith. now it’s time to shop arvidsson and jarnkrok.

We saw the yield we got from some youth in the bottom 6. our special teams suck anyways so jarnkrok is useless. i don’t care how good of a wrist shot he has in the month of March.

This, just... I expect our best return on Jarnkrok comes at the deadline. Let Arvy go to Seattle, trade Jarnkrok as an impending UFA at the deadline, replace from within.

And before anybody rails against the impossibility of "replacing from within"... I think we're already looking for a spot for Tomasino, so he's an obvious choice to replace Arvy. And Jarnkrok is a good utility player in the regular season, but hopefully somebody like Pitlick or Novak or Parssinen can step up and replace him in the next little while. I don't think it's going to be any outrageous feat to replace these guys.

I don't think it's crazy. Guys like Jarnkrok are great to have, you just don't keep giving them contracts when the time comes and that time has come.

Personally I think he'd be great for a team like Seattle because he can play about anywhere and with anyone. He also is a guy they can flip at the deadline if they want.

Yeah, he'd be a great value pick for them. Could even see him wearing an A depending on who else they pick.

The upside to picking Jarnkrok is you CAN play him in a top-6 spot and he'll do something passable there. Then you trade him for a 2nd round pick at the deadline. It wouldn't be the worst thing for Seattle, for sure.

Although I still don't pass up Arvidsson for him, if I'm Seattle. Arvidsson is just that much more explosive and potentially one of the best scoring players they'll get in the draft. He can be their Marchessault if they have the right gameplan to utilize his abilities. (We currently do not).
