Price got his big contract and won't win the cup in Montréal anyway, so why bother trying any harder?

And yet, Price still takes a moment to give a kid a special memory. That should put things in perspective for that half of the city.

at 10 mils, franchise player, it comes with the job.

Sorry to bust your bubble but there is nothing classy in what he is doing. Its quite normal for high paid players to be doing that. PK did it a million times, no one called him classy for it.

The Price will be right once he has a decent team in front of him. It's so tiring to have to rely on him every game.

Even if he's on beast mode right now, do people really think they could get out of the first round of the playoffs? Or even make it there?

Doesn't really matter. All I know is there's two things that needs fixing before going after our goalies. Scoring first, then defense.

Yes they did. You seem salty about it.

It can be quite normal for these athletes to do these things. And for as long as they do it, it'll be classy.

It can also be just part of the Job, thats not classy.

I would be impressed if he did this everyday during his free time like Lafleur. Thats classy.

In racing, they say a driver loses haft a second a lap after the birth of his child. Could it be than pricey lost that infamous fraction of second after the birth of his daughter? Couple this with a guaranteed contract for 9 years and it is clear his motivation is not there. To be fair, from may 2016 to april 2017, pricey worked his ass off, rehabbing from his injuries to play for team Canada all the way to the club elimination. This year, it's a known fact that he took a vacation from April 2017 to early July. However, to celebrate his new contract, he didn't train at all until after his august 16th birthday. In layman terms, pricey came to camp fat and unmotivated. He gets a mulligan for the first two month of the season to lose his beer gut and rekindle the flame. However starting December 1st, of the price is still not right, Houston, we have a problem!!!!

Exactly, thank you.

1-He aint special when he does it. Everyone does it and if he dint he would look like the douche not doing it.

2-Its not kindness, its part of the job.

Im not saying hes not classy in general, i dont know but that act is part of the job to give back yo the fans. He has to do these things one way or another.

He gets no mulligan. He's supposed to be a professional and should be ready to start the season on day one.No excuses.Price is being paid an extreme amount of money to stop pucks and he isn't doing that very well right now.He looks slow, fat and uninspired.

Carey Price always played behind great defense and expensives one too. Helping him get great stats along the way.

This year Carey plays behind a still expensive Defense but a very average one (to stay polite), will see what kind of stats he put up.

Im a believer the team in front make the goalie and not the other way around. The habs always focuse on their defensive play, for as long as I can remember, many goalies showed great stats playing for us.

I feel this year will make people realise Carey Price is indeed a very average goalie in the league.

If he have great defenseman, he will show great stats but if he play for a bad team like we are this year, he will show very bad stats.

Goaltender position is so overated on this board, its ridiculous.

We are in 2017 guys, not in the 90s when the was a big gap in term of talents across goaltenders.

Carey Price is the hero Montreal deserves, but not the one it needs right now, so we'll blame him. Because he can take it, because he's not a hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector, a Dark Knight.

Wouldn’t it be funny if the moment MB gets fired, Price starts playing .935 goaltending?

Last year Price started his first 15-20 games with a .940, dipped off down to under .900 and went back up to .940 the moment Therrien was fires. That being said, you could visibly see him lose motivation after that whole fiasco with Therrien. People were panicking but it was pretty obvious his play would go back to elite the moment the coach was fired. This year, he seems to have a few holes in his game and his mechanics seem off in general. I think most of this comes down to Price polishing his game along with the team playing a lot better in front of him.
