Kuzy hasn’t shown up in the playoffs since 2018. His play was one of the reasons they lost in 2019 and he was absolutely the worst player on the ice during the bubble playoffs to the point where insiders shared reports that he told other players he didn’t want to be there. Unless Kuzy’s speed/creativity game is on point he’s useless in the playoffs since he’s awful on the defensive end.

I think it’s fair to assume he’ll have a better postseason with Carolina but he morphed into the best player on the planet for two months in 2018 and has never come close to reaching that level again so expectations should be tempered.
I’m just saying he’s shown that he’s capable of producing at a high level in the playoffs.

Us Canes fans remember the 2019 playoffs well. Don’t think any of us would say Kuzy was a main reason why the Caps lost that series but you do you.

Were not expecting Conn Smythe caliber out of him but it seems very possible that he can give us some secondary scoring that we have been lacking

This was always a very high risk very high reward type of deal for the Canes. Short term so far it looks like they're getting the positive side of that equation. And as a Caps fan I'm happy to see him doing well and seemingly happy.

I’m not sure either the risk or reward is all that high.

Absolute worst case scenario he bombs and we find a way to get rid of him next year. Nothing was lost but a 3rd and half his cap hit.

Absolute best case scenario he’s not the kind of player you really rely on, unless you want to get burned. Just some middle-6 scoring depth with the upside to occasionally go on a streak.

IMO it’s just a calculated risk. They found a decent looking TV at Goodwill and are betting that they can fix that weird sound it makes.

We... prefer the jerks, please and thank you, if that's all the same to you.

Hey now, hey now (don't dream it's over)

I endured the whole rags - canes 1-0 game and remembered why you guys are the most entertaining and frustrating team to watch in this whole league.

Hope the additions of Guentzel and Kuzy give you guys some much needed offence.

Bet its Nice to get that kind of talent that cheap. He can be a game changer for the canes. Brings that extra scoring they have needed. Keep him away from the coke and keep him motivated and you have a hell of a player

California, Florida and Vegas need to stay away definitely. Montreal too perhaps. If so he'll fizzle out his NHL career.

A big bonus right now in Carolina is that he has more talent to perform with. That may revive his career if a deep playoff run happens.

I'm confused, do you believe a multimillionaire can't score coke anywhere on the planet if they want to?
