I didn't think Johansen would make the NHL either. BTW I'm not counting one or two games. Especially when he is a covid replacement. It is very obvious that he isn't very high on the depth chart.
Maybe he will surprise us.

-Backstrom sucks
-Labeled Fehervary a future HOFer before taking the ice in any North American game
-Samsonov was the next Vasi and he might have called him a HOFer before too

I'm pretty sure he was exaggerating when he made those comments.
I don't completely agree with those comments but I don't think he is entirely b wrong. Like I said I believe he exaggerated.
I'm not sold on LuJo. I don't think he will ever be a full time NHL player but he is good enough to be an AHL player.
I'll admit I'm not an Eller fan but he is definitely an NHL calibre player.
We aren't far apart on Vanecek. I think he us better suited as an AHL goalie.
He is in his 2nd season and has made no improvements. I wouldn't say he is an ECHL goalie.
Now saying Backstrom sucks is just ridiculous. He is a very good 2 way player. I agree he is declining but he doesn't suck.
I think Fehrevary will be a very good defenceman for a long time. Can't see him being a hall of fame player.
And Samsonov does have the potential to be similar to Vasilevsky. But he isn't there at this point in his career and may not ever be. You have to admit he finds a way to win games. His winning percentage is outstanding.

Oshie is there to protect the rookies and keep them out of trouble. As the game progresses Oshie will replace Leason and the rookies will watch most of the 2nd half of the game
